Three Things That Set the 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Apart from its Competition

Alfa Romeo has been designing and building exclusive production vehicles for generations. Also combining performance know-how from its racing heritage, each Alfa Romeo aims to please all senses.

The 2021 Giulia checks all the boxes, featuring class-leading power, unique styling, advanced technology, and generous standard features for a premium sports sedan. Four models make up the lineup for this model year, including: Sprint, Ti, Ti Sport, and Quadrifoglio.

Here, we explore how Giulia is much different (and better) than the competition.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia creates more styling opportunities

Armed with a thick catalogue of 17 available exterior colours, including four new colours for 2021 (Ocra GT Junior, Rosso GTA, Rosso Villa d'Este and Verde Montreal), along with a choice of three appearance packages (Lusso, Nero Edizione and Carbon) available depending on the variant, buyers can curate the perfect look for their Giulia.

Inside, the Giulia is much more passionate and stylish than its rivals, letting drivers create their own environments with up to 10 interior colours to choose from depending on the variant.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia brings best-in-class performance

Further distancing itself from its rivals, the Giulia moves ahead with a pair of high-powered engines that will please any driver at heart. Giulia Sprint, Giulia Ti and Giulia Ti Sport models feature an all-aluminum, 2.0-litre, turbocharged engine with class-leading 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. It propels the Giulia from 0 to 97 km/h in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio gets a Ferrari-derived 505-horsepower V6 twin-turbocharged engine with a 0-97 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 307 km/h. The Giulia Quadrifoglio features a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 3 kg/hp.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo integrates exclusive technologies

The Giulia's engines are supported by many technologies developed by Alfa Romeo during decades of testing and competition. For example, every Giulia features an eight-speed automatic transmission with available column-mounted aluminum paddle shifters capable of shifting gears in less than 100 milliseconds, a class-exclusive carbon-fibre driveshaft, a flat-bottom Formula One-inspired steering wheel and the Alfa DNA Drive Mode selector.

The Quadrifoglio gets even more advanced technologies, like a carbon fibre hood, roof and rear spoiler and the DNA Drive Mode Selector Pro with Race mode.
