2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia vs. 2021 Cadillac CT4: European Racing Heritage Versus American Luxury

Alfa Romeo's long adventure in auto racing has been one of the most fruitful endeavours in automobile history. The company's revitalized focus on performance and passionate design has resulted in several upgraded production models, including the Giulia. This model is now Alfa Romeo's top-performing car and a class leader. The 2021 lineup contributes a new trim, more standard amenities, and revamped option packages.

The Giulia strives to respond to the competition. Here, we compare the 2021 Giulia with the 2021 Cadillac CT4 to see how they line up.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia repeats its history of innovation

Giulia features two powertrains-both powerful and different-that offer segment-leading performance. The Giulia Sprint, Giulia Ti and Giulia Ti Sport include a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder that bursts ahead with 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. Each model with this powertrain features the DNA Drive Mode Selector which offers Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency modes that help control the power and performance of each Giulia and also help it outperform the CT4.

The CT4 offers a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder in its base trims. It falls short of Giulia's standard powertrain, reducing horsepower to 237 and torque to 258. The CT4-V, the series' top-of-the-line model, upgrades to a 2.7-litre powertrain that produces up to 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque.

Comparatively, the Giulia's Quadrifoglio model is the most capable of all powertrains in both lineups. With a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, it generates 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque and offers exhilarating acceleration not available with the CT4.

The Giulia features innovations like a class-exclusive carbon fibre driveshaft that is precisely engineered to enhance response and reduce weight. You won't find that on the CT4.

There's more inside with the 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia

The Giulia's interior reflects this performance leader's capabilities. A superior amalgam of textures and metals surpasses anything you will find in the CT4 in terms of fit and finish and innovation. Each Giulia can be outfitted with a choice of 17 exterior colours, depending on the variant, to give it a unique look. Three appearance packages are also on the menu to give your Giulia the extra touch it deserves.
